I am a Czech artist living in Switzerland, a country whose natural beauty, especially the Alps, are a great inspiration for my art. I have been painting and drawing for over 15 years, but enjoy constantly sourcing fresh ideas, not least from my beautiful young son, who helps me see this world through his eyes…
Ultimately I express myself through art.
Whatever emerges on to the canvas comes straight from my imagination and can be influenced by the way I feel at any given moment, the mood I am in or my fascination with form, shapes and colours. All of these, and more, are reflected in my work. Learning new techniques, styles and anything that enhances what ends up on the canvas in different ways is a source of fascination.
Exploration of, and immersion into, these new techniques gives me the flexibility to shift from one style to another, depending on my mood, environment or inspiration. Abstracts and graphics, landscapes - particularly the high alpine world - or members of the animal kingdom, such as horses or falcons, rendered using a modern touch, all form part of my widening repertoire.
